Family trip to Korea! Seoul Grand Park
Hello, we are a Korean family.
Baby “Loah” and her mom and dad experience various places in Korea firsthand.
This is a personal homepage that expresses things honestly.
To be helpful to foreigners visiting Korea
We are providing information!
Today, I will give a detailed review of Seoul Grand Park .

This is located in Gwacheon, 0.5 hours from Seoul.
If you have a child aged 4 to 10, I highly recommend this place.

It is located 30 minutes away by Subway Line 4, and the admission fee is $3.5 for adults and $1.5 for children.
It’s not particularly special, but it’s a great place to see large animals.
The information is very accurate because we experienced it first hand, but we used
we used Google Translate, so there may be
errors may occur.
Thank you for your understanding.
Let’s go with baby Loah again today~!

● location & Directions (Seoul Grand Park)

It takes about 30 minutes from downtown Seoul to Seoul Grand Park on Subway Line 4.

We came here from the Myeongdong Voco Hotel at Hoehyeon Station on Line 4!
For reviews of Myeongdong Voco Hotel, please visit our website or our YouTube channel.

It takes about 30 minutes to get to Seoul Grand Park Station from the Voco Hotel by taking Line 4, and then about 20 minutes more to get to Seoul Grand Park.

Get off at Seoul Grand Park Station on Line 4.

Exit through Exit 2.

The escalator is very long.

This is the view looking down after climbing all the way up.

The front view looks like this.
Walk straight for about 8 minutes and you’ll find the ticket office.
This place has a zoo, an amusement park, a science museum, a botanical garden, and more.
Today, we’re going to introduce Seoul Grand Park.
There’s also a Seoulland review on our website.

All the paths were suitable for strollers.

After walking for about 8 minutes, you will see a large ticket booth.
Now you can buy tickets here for the zoo or the amusement park.

There are three ways to get to the zoo
1. walk (for adults with time to spare)
2. take the elephant train (cheapest and most fun)
3. take the lift (reasonably priced and kids love it)

You can walk all the way to Seoul Grand Park,
but it’s a bit far.
If you have time, walking is fine, but I recommend the Elephant Train. (Second Method)
It’s about 1.1 km and takes around 17 minutes on foot. (First Method)
So for families with young children, I recommend the Elephant Train.

The ticket machine supports English, Chinese, and Japanese.
The fare for adults is 2,000 won.
Children are 1,500 won (about 1 USD).
Children under 36 months ride for free.

If you go up the stairs on the right side of the photo, you can board immediately.

Each compartment can seat 8 people.
I recommend going on a weekday.
It’s too crowded on Saturdays and Sundays.

On weekdays, families can ride comfortably.
You can bring a stroller onto the train.

The first stop is the zoo.

Riding the lift the last way
There are two lines: Line 1 and Line 2.

Line 1 goes from the right side of the ticket office to the entrance of the zoo.
It crosses the lake, so it’s more thrilling and the scenery is beautiful.

Line 2 is boarded on the left side after entering the zoo,
and it takes you to the upper part of the zoo.
On the way, you can look down at the monkeys and lions from above.

Personally, I found Line 1 to be shorter but more enjoyable.
If you have a stroller,
strollers are free of charge, and the staff will load and unload them on the lift for you.
Tickets are priced differently on different websites.

There are 2-ride and 3-ride tickets available.
You can use them any time—when going from the ticket office to the zoo, moving inside the zoo, or returning from the zoo to the ticket office.
They can be used at any time.
I think the best way to get there is by elephant train:
If you’re going to take the lift, make sure to book online in advance, it’s cheaper.
● Description of today’s plan (Seoul Grand Park)

- Take Lift Line 2 and you will arrive at the predator zone, where the tigers and bears are.
- Slowly walk down while seeing crocodiles, camels, lions, elephants, gorillas, and more.
- Go up the hill while watching flamingos, giraffes, kangaroos, and more.
This was our course today.

Show your package ticket and enter smoothly.
There were many parents with strollers like us.
After entering, go to the left next to the big tiger statue, and you will find the lift boarding area.

We took Lift 2 from here all the way up to the top of the park.

You can board at the bottom and go directly to the predator zone with Lift 2.
If you have young children, it’s best to start from the top where the predator zone is and work your way down.

Three people can ride at once.
Strollers are placed on an empty lift by the staff, and they will also unload them for you.

The day we visited was very hot, but it felt cool when we took the lift.

On the way, you can look down at the lions and monkeys, which was fun.
The ride felt thrilling and enjoyable,
but since the ride takes about 20 minutes, our child got a bit bored in the middle.

There are restrooms and facilities all over the park, so it’s really a great place to visit with kids.

Depending on your child’s and parents’ preferences, the order in which you see the animals may vary.
We took the lift to the top, then visited the predator and bear zones, and then went to the wolf zone, Asia Pavilion, camel zone, Africa Pavilion 3, and the Primate Pavilion, then back down to Africa Pavilion 1, Flamingo House, the Grand Animal House, the Australia Pavilion, and the children’s playground

All the paths were very stroller-friendly.

The weather was cool in mid-May, but around noon the animals started to feel the heat,
and began to hide here and there.

The cheetah came right up front and lay down.
Around noon, most of the predators started hiding in the rocks or hard-to-see places.

It’s a good idea to prepare your own lunch in Seoul in advance.
There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which was convenient.

If you don’t bring lunch, there are plenty of facilities nearby.
500ml bottled water: 1,000 won
Pocari Sweat: 2,800 won
Kids’ drinks: 1,800 won
It’s also nice to bring a picnic mat.

We were okay with the heat, but from late May to September, you should be prepared for hot weather.
Conversely, from December to March, you should be prepared for cold weather.
Most attractions are outdoors rather than indoors, so the place is sensitive to the weather!

There are shuttle buses like this running from time to time.
They are free shuttle buses for the transportation disadvantaged, and stop at set times so you can board easily.

Mostly families with young children and elderly people use the shuttle.

The shuttle visits seven stops, so it’s convenient for getting around.
It’s a free service for those with mobility difficulties.
The shuttles depart from Stop 1 every 30 minutes.

There’s a baby rest area, and you can also rent a stroller nearby if you have a small child.

Honestly, I don’t recommend visiting Seoul Grand Park when it’s too hot.
There are some animals indoors, but most of the attractions are outdoors.
When it’s too hot, even the animals hide, so it’s hard to see them.
It was 27°C when we visited, and after 5 hours of walking around, everyone was exhausted!

This place is perfect for a picnic-style outing.

Our last stop was the children’s playground.
There’s a restaurant and restroom right in front, so the location was convenient.

After passing the Flamingo House, Grand Animal House, and Australia Pavilion, we spent time with our child at the playground
and then exited the park.

We left a little after 3 PM,
and after walking around for about five hours, we were tired.
We didn’t get to visit the Children’s Zoo and Botanical Garden and headed back to our hotel.

It took about eight minutes to walk from the ticket office to the Grand Park Station exit.

Tickets are sold at reasonable prices on the Klook website.
If we had more time,
visiting Seoul Land would have been a good option, too.
You can also find our Seoul Land review on our website.

Seoul Land is a theme park where you can have fun with children.
It’s right next to the zoo.
