Family trip to Korea! Seoul Land Theme Park
Hello, we are a Korean family.
Baby “Loah” and her mom and dad experience various places in Korea firsthand.
This is a personal homepage that expresses things honestly.
To be helpful to foreigners visiting Korea
We are providing information!
Today, I will give a detailed review of Seoul Land Theme Park .

This is located in Gwacheon, 0.5 hours from Seoul.
If you have a child aged 4 to 10, I highly recommend this place.

Compared to the famous Lotte World and Everland in Korea, this place has more rides suitable for young children.
It is a heaven for young children.
The information is very accurate because we experienced it first hand, but we used
we used Google Translate, so there may be
errors may occur.
Thank you for your understanding.
Let’s go with baby Loah again today~!

● location & Directions (Seoul Land Theme Park)

It takes about 30 minutes from downtown Seoul to Seoul Land on Subway Line 4.

We came here from the Myeongdong Voco Hotel at Hoehyeon Station on Line 4!
For reviews of Myeongdong Voco Hotel, please visit our website or our YouTube channel.

It takes about 30 minutes to get to Daegongwon Station from the Voco Hotel by taking Line 4, and then about 20 minutes more to get to Seoul Land.

Get off at Daegongwon Station on Line 4.

Exit through Exit 2.

The escalator is very long.

The escalator is very long.

The front view looks like this.
Walk straight for about 8 minutes and you’ll find the ticket office.
This place has a zoo, an amusement park, a science museum, a botanical garden, and more.
Today, we’re going to introduce Seoul Land Theme Park.

All the paths were suitable for strollers.

After walking for about 8 minutes, you will see a large ticket booth.
Now you can buy tickets here for the zoo or the amusement park.

You can walk all the way to Seoul Land Theme Park,
but it’s a bit far.
If you have time, walking is fine, but I recommend the Elephant Train.
It’s about 1.2 km and takes around 20 minutes on foot.
So for families with young children, I recommend the Elephant Train.

The ticket machine supports English, Chinese, and Japanese.
The fare for adults is 2,000 won.
Children are 1,500 won (about 1 USD).
Children under 36 months ride for free.

If you go up the stairs on the right side of the photo, you can board immediately.

Each compartment can seat 8 people.
I recommend going on a weekday.
It’s too crowded on Saturdays and Sundays.

On weekdays, families can ride comfortably.
You can bring a stroller onto the train.

The first stop is the zoo.
Today, we’re planning to ride the attractions at Seoul Land,
so we need to get off at the next stop.
I’ll share my review of Seoul Grand Park Zoo later.

The second stop is Seoul Land Theme Park.

Seoul Grand Park Zoo and Seoul Land have separate stops.
Since there are two stops, get off at the second one.

The on-site fare is quite expensive.
But today, I’ll show you how to get a cheaper ticket.
On-site tickets for adults cost 52,000 won (about $38).

You can get better rates on the Klook website.
It’s twice as expensive if you buy tickets on-site, so purchase in advance.

The theme changes each season.
Currently, it’s “Luna Seoul Land” themed.

Walk a little further and you’ll reach the central main hall.
● Description of today’s plan (Seoul Land Theme Park)

The types and number of rides available are a bit different on weekdays and weekends.
I visited on a weekday. If you download the Seoul Land app, you can find more detailed information.
The yellow marks indicate the rides my child can go on
First, in Adventure Land,
Flume Ride, Den do Lost Thieves
In the second area, Fantasy Land
Big Merry Go Round, Peter Pan, Kambu Airplane, Tobot Train, Convoy Race, Musical Carouse
The third area
Kraken Island
In the fourth area, Tomorrow Land,
Jurassic Land, Zeppelin, Super Wings
And finally, at the Luna Festa performance hall,
We will watch the “Flowers Up” performance.
Loah, who is under 90cm, can enjoy 10 rides and 3 experiences today.
The green marks are rides that Loah’s mom and cousin used.

We plan to move in this order.
We spent about six and a half hours here.
● Let’s go have fun (Seoul Land Theme Park)

➡️First area
I’ll introduce two rides here.
Flume Ride,
First, Den do Lost Thieves

This ride is popular with children, so the line is long.
It may not open in the morning.
We waited about 30 minutes and rode for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Children under 120cm must ride with a parent.

You go through a dark tunnel and shoot targets with a laser gun to earn points.
The second ride is the Flume Ride.

There was also a long line here—we waited about 30 minutes to ride.
It wasn’t as scary as I thought, but at the last splash, water splashed all over us.

Up to four people can ride together.
The person in the front seat can get very wet.

Even our underwear got soaked.
Raincoats are sold nearby. Bring one if you need it.
➡️Second area: Fantasy Land

Big Merry Go Round, Peter Pan, Kambu Airplane, Tobot Train, Convoy Race, Musical Carousel

There is a Tikitoc Train right next to it.
You must be at least 100cm tall to ride this.

This ride is a little faster than the others.
Loah’s mom and cousin rode it!
Even on a weekday, the line was a bit long.
We waited about 15 minutes and the ride lasted just 1 minute and 30 seconds.

A little further down, there is the KartRider bumper car.
Loah couldn’t ride this.
Only mom and cousin Yoonwoo could enjoy it.
It’s a bit disappointing that Loah would have been able to ride with her mother if she was 100cm tall.

Loah couldn’t ride this.
KartRider Bumper
The waiting time was a bit long, but the safety check was short.
We waited over 10 minutes, and Loah’s mom and cousin rode for 3 minutes.
There were also bumper cars for children across from us, but Loah wasn’t tall enough to ride those, either.

Children’s bumper cars are only for those between 100cm and 130cm tall,
so neither Loah nor her cousin could ride.
Big Merry Go Round

There is a Big Merry Go Round right next to it.

There was a short line, but it moved quickly (about 5 minutes).
The ride time was also quick, about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Besides the waiting and ride time, the safety check for kids took quite a while.
It was a great spot for photos.
Peter Pan

We rode Peter Pan, which was right next to it.
There was also a short line, and Loah could ride with mom.

It spins at a lower height and was a bit fast.
Kambu Airplane

It’s right next door.
Children under 110cm must be held by a parent to ride

It spins a bit higher but moves very slowly, so it’s not scary at all.
On weekdays, the line is short and the ride is also brief, about 2 minutes.

Next is Lava Twister.
You must be at least 100cm tall, so only Loah’s mom and cousin could ride

They waited about 10 minutes on a weekday,
and it spun around refreshingly.
It spun much faster and higher than expected.
Tobot Train

Next, we rode the Tobot Train nearby!

You can ride together with your child,
and our whole family rode this one.
It’s a little on the faster side.
Convoy Race

The minimum height to ride is 80cm.
We waited about 10 minutes, and the ride lasted about 3 minutes.
When kids board, it takes extra time for safety checks on top of waiting in line.

Since the ride moves slowly, children can ride alone.
It goes around four laps slowly.
Musical Carousel

Right in front is the Doremi Orchestra ride.

It’s a carousel where you ride on musical instruments.
The waiting line was very short.
Children taller than 80cm could ride alone.
The actual ride time was about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
➡️Third area
Kraken Island

You can play in the water, and there are slides and attractions, so it’s a great area.

On the first floor, there was a trampoline, and many people were sitting on mats eating packed lunches.

From May to September, you can enjoy water play here.
We brought swimsuits,
but since we had many more rides to go and washing up would be a hassle, we skipped the water play.

You can get better rates on the Klook website.
Tickets are sold at reasonable prices on the Klook website.
If you pay on-site, it’s twice as expensive, so book in advance.

There are various slides,

and the higher you go, the more exciting the attractions get.
For Loah, the first-floor trampoline and just one slide were suitable.
The rest seemed best for children at least 5–6 years old.
➡️Fourth area: Tomorrow Land

Right at the east entrance, you’ll find Jurassic Land.

It’s indoors and cool, and I highly recommend it for kids who like dinosaurs.
For us, it took about 10 minutes to look around.

We found the fossil digging activity to be the most fun.

Zeppelin

Children under 80cm tall can ride with a parent.

It’s a slow-moving ride, so kids can ride without worry.
After 4pm, there weren’t many people, so we could board right away.

The Rock Cafe is right in front of the east entrance.
Only those over 110cm can ride, so only Loah’s mom and cousin could go on.

It’s a fast-spinning attraction.
It was very dizzying.

Double Loop Coaster
Only mom rode the roller coaster!
You must be at least 120cm tall to ride.

Crazy Mouse is a little less scary.

The train is a bit shorter and less intense than the previous coaster.
Of course, Loah could not ride this.

You can get better rates on the Klook website.
Tickets are sold at reasonable prices on the Klook website.
If you pay on-site, it’s twice as expensive, so book in advance.

We wanted to see the Animal Kingdom Show at the event hall at 5pm,
but Loah looked like she would fall asleep soon and our way home was far, so we had to skip it.

Next, we rode Super Wings.
Children 80–110cm must ride with a parent.

It went higher and faster than I expected.
Surprisingly, the line was very short!
➡️Fifth area: Samchuli Land

This was the scariest one.
Only those who really enjoy rides should try this.
Yoonwoo barely met the 140cm minimum height requirement to ride.
After riding, my cousin said he never wanted to ride again.

It was extremely fast and dizzying.
➡️And finally, at the Luna Festa performance hall
We’ll watch the “Flowers up” show.

The performance takes place in the main square near the entrance.

At 3:30 pm in the main square,
they hold the “Flowers up” show.
The time may vary on weekends and weekdays, so check the Seoul Land app for details.

I wondered if it would be fun,
but after returning home, my child kept talking about the show, so it must have been great!
At the end, they took a group photo for everyone!
Be sure to check the schedule and don’t miss it!
We started waiting at 3:10 and the show started around 3:15,
and the group photo began around 3:23.
The schedule may change by season.

There is a facility where children can play indoors for 50 minutes for free.

There is a fixed play time.
You need non-slip socks.
We skipped this because we had lots of outdoor activities.

When going back, buy an Elephant Train ticket at the entrance you used to enter,
then ride one stop and Get to Line 4 to go your hotel.
