Gangnam Luxury Imperial Palace Hotel $180 per night
Hello, we are a Korean family.
Baby “Loah” and her mom and dad experience various places in Korea firsthand.
This is a personal homepage that expresses things honestly.
To be helpful to foreigners visiting Korea
We are providing information!
Today, I will give a detailed review of Imperial Palace Hotel .
The airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and the subway is nearby.
If you are looking for a luxurious yet cost-effective hotel in the expensive Gangnam area of Seoul, I recommend this place.

The information is very accurate because we experienced it first hand, but we used
we used Google Translate, so there may be
errors may occur.
Thank you for your understanding.
Let’s go with baby Loah again today~!

The interior of the hotel is very luxurious. It feels like you’re in the Palace of Versailles in France.
● Why do you recommend Imperial Palace Hotel ?
- The airport bus stop is 5 seconds from the hotel.
- The interior of the hotel is like a huge palace.
- The photos came out so pretty
- This is a very reasonable price for this 5star quality in Gangnam, Seoul.
- The soundproofing in the room was very good.
- The bedding was in very good condition.
● How to get to Imperial Palace Hotel. (Deluxe room)

Although it is slightly away from the center of Seoul,
it is very close to Seoul Gangnam COEX and Express Bus Terminal Shopping Center.
Hakdong Station on Line 7 is a 7-minute walk from the hotel,
and Airport Bus Stop No. 6703 is right in front of the hotel.

Airport buses and subways are nearby.

On-site fee 11,000 won -> If you purchase in advance, it is 8,700 won.
You can go directly from the airport to Seoul Station.
It takes about 50 minutes.

Let’s start with Loah!

Come to Exit 1 of Hakdong Station on Line 7.

It’s convenient because there’s an escalator.

Go straight ahead
Walk for about 4 minutes

You see the traffic light.
And cross the traffic light.

As soon as you cross the traffic light, go right.

If you walk for about 2 minutes, you will see the Imperial Palace Hotel with the airport bus stop right in front.

There is bus number 6703 right in front of the hotel.

From the airport, take bus number 6703 and it takes about 2 hour to reach Imperial palace Hotel.
It is slower and more expensive than the AREX high-speed train introduced above, but it is good because it can take you directly to the hotel.

It is the Fourteenth stop after departing from Terminal 1 to Imperial palace Hotel.

Please refer to the timetable

The entire hotel felt like a museum.

There were two elevators,
and the elevators were also very luxurious!!

Now let’s go to your room!
● Imperial palace Hotel Room introduction. (luxury and value for money at the same time)

My room was assigned to the 14th floor today.

The interior of the hotel is so quaint that it feels like you’re in a French museum!

This is the most basic room, Deluxe Double Room.
My first impression was that it was a little smaller than I thought.

On the right is a shoe rack and a coat rack.

There is a table and mirror right next to it that looks like a dressing table.
It looks like a good place to put your stuff.

There are bathrobes, a safe, and slippers right next to it.

The disposable slippers were thick and nice!

There is a bathroom on the other side.
Oh my god! It’s so pretty?

There is a bathtub on the left, and a separate bidet and shower booth on the right.

The interior is very neat and pretty.

The amenities are very luxurious Penhaligon’s products.

The scent was very good

It was pretty and nice, but one thing that was disappointing was that the bathtub floor was a little slippery when there was water on it.

The bathroom fixtures are Kohler products.
The bathtub is narrow and deep.

Amenities provided by the hotel.
Disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors have been banned from Korean hotels since April 2024.
Bring them in advance~

As soon as you enter the room, you can see the minibar.

Most are paid, but
two coffee capsules and tea bags are free.

Two bottles of water are free in the refrigerator.

Paid products are not as expensive as you might think.
The hotel sales price is okay.

The room looks very antique and luxurious.

I requested a crib guard in advance because I have a child, and they installed it in advance.
I also requested a humidifier in advance.

The room is luxurious

Since it’s a smart TV, YouTube and Netflix work well.

The outlet was strangely located in a table drawer.

The bed is made up of two single beds put together, so it’s a little larger than a regular king-size bed.

The light controls and outlets are located under the nightstands on either side of the bed.

The pillows and blankets are very fluffy and soft.
I feel so satisfied.

The air conditioner was newly installed and clean.

There is a lighting controller and a temperature control controller.

The room size is a bit small, but
the luxurious atmosphere of the room makes me feel healed.

The view outside the window wasn’t pretty
It’s a normal building view.
● Imperial palace Hotel facilities. (luxury and value for money at the same time)
● 1F (Imperial Palace Hotel)

There is a cafe as soon as you enter the entrance.
Imperial Palace Hotel

There is a tailor shop.

There is a bar.

There are antiques on display everywhere, so it’s fun to look around.
There are actual antiques from the 1800s, so
If you’re traveling with little children, make sure to hold their hands while you go. HaHaHa

There is also a nursing room,

There is also a luxurious front desk.

The breakfast restaurant is also located on the first floor.
● 2nd floor (Imperial Palace Hotel)

There is a Japanese restaurant and a Chinese restaurant on the second floor.
When you take the elevator up, there is a Japanese restaurant on the right.

The second floor also has quite a few antiques here and there.

It’s a great structure to look down on the first floor lobby from the second floor!

On the left is the Chinese restaurant Cheonsan.
● 3rd floor (Imperial Palace Hotel)

The 3rd floor seems to be trying something related to Hanok and Hanbok, but it’s still under construction!
It would have been nice if they had done it, but it’s a shame.
● B2 floor (Imperial Palace Hotel)
First, I pressed B1 and was so surprised that I couldn’t take a picture!
There was no guidance in the elevator, so I just pressed B1, and the elevator door opened and I could see the concrete completely blocked in front of me
Actually, I was a little scared haha
They should have disabled the button or put up a guide message, but I was really surprised.

On the second basement floor, you can go to the sauna, swimming pool, and fitness center,
but the path was a bit like a maze
When you get off the elevator and go to the right,

You can see a path that goes all the way down this narrow passage.
There was also a barber shop in the middle.
Klook.com
This is the front of the basement 2nd floor.
They said I couldn’t take pictures from here,
but I asked them to do so specifically so I took pictures of the inside.

The special thing about this place is that people with tattoos and those under 16 years of age are not allowed to enter.

As soon as I entered, there was a locker room and a sauna right next to it, and I could see the pool and the gym.
There were some restrictions on the photos, so I couldn’t take detailed pictures.
The gym equipment was well-arranged around the pool.

The pool was a lane-type pool, and the water was deep enough to reach an adult’s chest.

It looked nice to use the jacuzzi,
It was free to use, but I didn’t have time to use the pool.
And it was a little disappointing that children under 16 were not allowed, so I couldn’t bring them.
On the other hand, it might be a little easier for adults because there were no children??
And the sauna was not available for general guests.

The gym equipment was very clean and well maintained.
I regret that I only took pictures due to time constraints!
The basement 2nd floor is like a maze, so it might be a little confusing for first-time visitors.
The path to the fitness center was like a maze, and the path from there to the pool was also like a maze.
Also, those under 16 are not allowed to enter,
and general guests cannot use the sauna. (You can use it after paying extra)

● Imperial Palace Gangnam Hotel Breakfast (luxury and value for money at the same time)

Breakfast is 65,000 won per adult, 32,500 won for elementary school students and younger, and free for children under 48 months.
Imperial Palace Hotel Guests receive a 20% discount.

A children’s table is provided.

Spoons, forks, Pororo cups, bowls, and plates are provided.
However, the only regret is that infants should not use easily breakable materials,
and they provided such. The cups are fine, but the plates and bowls seem to need some improvement.

It was very comfortable and the kindness of the staff was quite good.
The spacing between tables was good and the lighting was good.
I want to give high marks to the service of clearing the plates in between and checking if there was anything needed.
However, I was a little disappointed with the taste of the food.
The food was not bad, but the menu was less luxurious than the Imperial Hotel.
In particular, the bakery seemed to use French frozen dough (B company product).
Maybe we are picky about our taste, so we felt that way about breakfast, but I wish they would change the bakery items.

It is luxurious and the atmosphere of the restaurant is good, so you can eat comfortably, but
This is a personal site, so I wrote down my subjective feelings.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite relaxed.

When you come out, you can see antique furniture and curiosities again.

This is a very old product…
● Imperial Palace Gangnam Nearby Tourist Attractions & Restaurants
● Cheongwaok Hakdong

Come out of the hotel and walk straight down the road to the right.

If you go straight, you will cross the crosswalk once

You can see Cheongwaok next to 7-Eleven
It took about 5 minutes to walk here

I heard that Sundaeguk, a soup made by boiling various medicinal herbs, is famous???

Ah! Is this really a good restaurant? There was a wait.

If you look at the menu and choose slowly, it will be your turn soon.

Fortunately, the children’s cutlery here is made of unbreakable items!!

There is nothing better than Sundaeguk for eating out with kids
Our Roa especially loves meat so she loves Sundaeguk!! HaHa

Equip your weapon!

Start inhaling

The genuine expression that comes out when something is really delicious

We ordered 2 large sizes of Sundaeguk. Each one costs 11,000 won.
Juices and coffee are available for dessert.

I’m introducing this restaurant because it’s close to the hotel and a good place for families with children like us to go.
I walked from the right a little while ago, passed the convenience store, and came to Cheongwaok,
and then walked to the left again.
● Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul

The Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul exhibition hall is about an 8-minute walk away.

Go straight ahead.

It takes about 8 minutes to walk to Hyundai Motorstudio Gangnam.
Admission is free.

Hyundai Motor Company has reportedly surpassed 100 million units in car production!

The first floor seems to have a slightly different concept each time,
When I visited, it was to commemorate the production of 100 million Hyundai automobiles,
and they were exhibiting retro cars from the past.

On the second floor, you can also see the history of Hyundai Motor Company.

On the 3rd floor, you can also see stories related to the history of Hyundai Motors
“Scoupe” of memories~

The museum is easy to explore
It varies from person to person, but I think you can easily see all 5 floors in about an hour.

You can see nostalgic Korean cars from about 30 years ago.

The 4th floor has SUVs on display and has a camping concept.

You can ride it yourself from the 4th floor. You can also do simple operations.

Free coffee is available on the 4th and 5th floors.

On the 5th floor you can see electric cars.

You can also ride it here,
There were 4 cars on each of the 4th and 5th floors.

This is a must-see for parents and children who love tea!

On the first floor before the last exit, there is a car model where you can buy souvenirs~~

You can buy a Korean car as a souvenir
If you bring your car, parking in the building is free for 1 hour!
● Express Bus Terminal Famille Station & Shinsegae Department Store

If you go 3 stops from Hakdong Station on Line 7, you can get to the Line 7 Express Bus Terminal Shopping Center.

It is directly connected to the subway, so it is great for shopping and sightseeing.

Dessert shops in the basement of Shinsegae Department Store connected to the subway

Step into the splendor…

On the way to the 1st floor Famille Station, there are always seasonal exhibitions!

You can have a meal or dessert at the connected Famille station.

Seoul seems like a really fun city if you have the money.
● Samsung Coex

It takes about 20 minutes by bus number 401.
You can also go by subway

COEX is connected to Samseong Station on Subway Line 2 or Bongeunsa Station on Subway Line 9!
Klook.com
Let’s stop by the landmark Byeolmadang Library and take a commemorative photo.

There are various shops and restaurants, so it’s a great place to hang out!

The connected Hyundai Department Store also holds a Christmas exhibition in November and December.

There’s a free exhibition at the department store.

The quality is so good

It was convenient to go to Gangnam tourist attractions and Lotte World from the hotel.

● Imperial Palace Gangnam Hotel Finish (luxury and value for money at the same time)
A luxurious and cost-effective 5-star hotel in Gangnam!
● Point
- The bedding condition was good!
- In particular, the interior of the room was antique and quaint.
- It was nice to take pictures here and there inside the hotel.
- The feedback inside the hotel was fast.
- I liked the baby bed guard.
- Smart TV
- The curtains had excellent blackout function.
- The amenities and facilities in the room were luxurious.
- The shower booth and bidet were well separated.
- The entrance door was thick, so no outside noise could be heard.
- No noise, such as noise between floors, could be heard inside the room.
- In addition to the antique interior of the hotel, it was fun to look at the antiques.
- The airport bus stopped right in front of the hotel.
- The fitness center in the basement was well managed.
- The size and comfort of the breakfast restaurant and the staff’s response were good.
● Cons
- After the renovation, the smell is not gone, so the room smells.
- The view outside the window was not good.
- I personally do not like the floor carpet.
- The actual bed size was different than when I consulted over the phone.
- (It was actually bigger.)
- There is not enough information about the room interior, auxiliary facilities, etc.
- There is no drain in the middle of the bathroom.
- The water from the shower room leaks out.
- So the bathroom floor is a little slippery.
- Those under 16 are not allowed to enter the underground fitness center.
- The breakfast menu is little disappointing, and the bakery in particular tasted like frozen dough.
- There is also a lack of understanding of baby tableware.
- There is no convenience store nearby the hotel.
- I did not receive a response when I contacted the representative via email.
But the reason I write on my site is because I am satisfied with it because the pros outweigh the cons!!
