Glocaloca Gwanghwamun Hotel 4-person room 1 night $125 Residence Seoul Hotel Review.
Hello, we are a Korean family.
Baby “Loah” and her mom and dad experience various places in Korea firsthand.
This is a personal homepage that expresses things honestly.
To be helpful to foreigners visiting Korea
We are providing information!
Today, I will give a detailed review of GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel .
The airport bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and the subway is nearby. It is very convenient because there is a shared kitchen, so I highly recommend this place.
The information is very accurate because we experienced it first hand, but we used
we used Google Translate, so there may be
errors may occur.
Thank you for your understanding.
Let’s go with baby Loah again today~!
● Why do you recommend Glocaloca Gwanghwamun Hotel Seoul?
- The airport bus stop is 4 seconds from the hotel.
- The room size is large compared to the price.
- The hotel is surrounded by landmarks.
- The ramen, coffee, and cereal in the shared kitchen are all free.
- There are many subways and buses nearby.
● How to get to Glocaloca Gwanghwamun Hotel. (2 queen beds)
The Glocaloca Hotel is located on the 19th and 20th floors of the Koreana Hotel building.
It’s like a hotel within a hotel.
There is an airport bus stop for bus number 6701 right in front of the hotel.
There are subway lines 1, 2, 3, and 5 nearby, and the closest one is Gwanghwamun Station on Line 5, Exit 6.
It takes about 3 minutes on foot to the hotel.
Today, I will go to the hotel using public transportation like a tourist with Roa.
On-site fee 11,000 won -> If you purchase in advance, it is 8,700 won.
You can go directly from the airport to Seoul Station.
It takes about 50 minutes.
Today we are going to Gwanghwamun Station Exit 6 on Line 5.
It is very convenient because there is an escalator.
Go straight ahead
After walking for about 2 minutes, you will see the departure point for the Seoul City Tour Bus.
If you have time, I recommend this bus
There is also a night bus service, which is really cool.
It took about 3 minutes from the subway exit to the hotel.
You can find the Koreana Hotel.
There is an airport bus stop right in front of the hotel.
It is 4 seconds from the hotel exit. It is really, really close.
This is the direction to Incheon Airport.
If you are coming from the airport to the hotel, it stops across the street.
From the airport, take bus number 6701 and it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach Koreana Hotel.
It is slower and more expensive than the AREX high-speed train introduced above, but it is good because it can take you directly to the hotel.
It is the third stop after departing from Terminal 1 to Gwanghwamun Koreana Hotel.
Please refer to the timetable

● Hotel lobby, reception and elevator. (Gwanghwamun Hotel 4-person room 1 night $125)
After entering the lobby of the Koreana Hotel, take the elevator on the left to the 20th floor!
The 19th and 20th floors are not the Koreana Hotel.
That is Glocaloca Gwanghwamun Seoul Hotel.
Come to the welcome desk right in front!
A staff member will personally assist you with check-in at the small desk.
Two room card keys are provided.
You can bring your own charger and simple medical supplies.
You can see the communal kitchen right next to it.
There was only one staff member, but if there was an emergency, you could call them on your personal phone.
We were assigned to the 19th floor, right below.

● Glocaloca Gwanghwamun Hotel Room introduction. (2 queen beds)
The 19th floor seems to have a slightly different concept.
It’s a 4-person, 2 queen beds room.
When you enter, there is a closet and four disposable slippers on the right.
There is a bathroom on the left.
The bathroom was very clean and had no smell at all.
There was a toothbrush, toothpaste, and foam cleanser, and there were 8 towels.
One downside!
There is no door in the shower room, so water splashes a lot.
The rooms are relatively large for the price.
There is a small refrigerator on the right.
The TV is a smart TV.
I was able to watch Netflix, YouTube, etc. freely.
It’s a simple and clean image.
The view is very open.
You can look down on the big road of Gwanghwamun.
This hotel offers a very reasonable price for a 4-person room in the heart of Seoul.
The bedding condition is average.
It doesn’t have the soft and fluffy feel of a good hotel.
But it’s not bad.
There is an outlet next to the bed.

I booked a 2 queen bedroom for about $125.
But! It doesn’t end here.
I’ll introduce various landmarks outside the hotel and the shared kitchen inside the hotel.
● GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel facilities. (2 queen bedroom)
● GLOCALOCA Hotel 20th floor
There is a shared kitchen!
It is bigger and cleaner than I thought
And it is very perfect
You can drink as much coffee, latte, and hot chocolate as you want
You can drink as much milk and cereal as you want
There is a large refrigerator! And,
2 microwaves, 1 air fryer
2 electric ranges, 1 water purifier
2 dishwashers
1 ice maker
Clean sink
Various kitchen utensils
You can eat as many different Korean ramen as you want
It’s all free.
It’s perfect for cooking as it comes with seasonings ready to go.
At night, guests can be seen having a chicken and beer party.
The shared kitchen was really nice
There is a clean toilet right next to it
There’s also a styler in front of the sofa!
When a foreigner doesn’t know how to cook ramen,
Loah’s mom naturally gives guidance again ~~
● GLOCALOCA Hotel 19th floor
There is also a shared kitchen here,
The 19th floor has a small shared kitchen, but there is a shared office.
The shared kitchen is smaller than the 20th floor, but it is equipped with basic kitchen utensils such as a microwave, ice maker, water purifier, refrigerator, and electric range.
However, there is no coffee machine or milk refrigerator.
There is a shared kitchen and shared office.
There is also a space where you can work quietly alone.
There is also a private room that is good for meetings.
I like the shared kitchen and shared office more than the guest room hahahaha
There’s also a clean bathroom next door!
There is a communal laundry room.
There is a full size washing machine and a full size dryer.
Detergent is also free.
Everything is free to use.
The hotel does not have a gym or swimming pool, but it has basic amenities, so I like it.
It was convenient because there was a convenience store next to the hotel entrance.
● Introduction to landmarks and restaurants around the GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel .
The area outside GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel is mostly landmarks.
For example, I will talk about the left, right, and front of the hotel.
● GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel left
From the hotel, head to Gwanghwamun Square.
If you walk for about 5 minutes, you can see the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin.
From here, it is Gwanghwamun Square.
If you walk a little further, you can see the statue of King Sejong.
Various events are taking place everywhere you walk.
Gyeongbokgung Palace is about an 18-minute walk from the hotel.
You can take a commemorative photo around 12:10 PM.
Leave a precious memory~
Rent a Hanbok at a Affordable Price
Many tourists are experiencing wearing Hanbok
If you go to the right from here, you will find Anguk Station, which I introduced last time.
It is a place with trendy cafes and Bukchon Hanok Village.
I will stop introducing this today. Now, let’s go to the right of the hotel.
● GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel Right
If you go to the right of the hotel, you will find City Hall Plaza and Deoksugung Palace.
If you walk for about 2 minutes
Before going to Deoksugung Palace, there is a pretty cathedral on the right, so I will briefly introduce it.
The stone wall you see on the left is the wall of Deoksugung Palace.
If you go up just one minute, you will see the cathedral on the right.
This is a place that even many Koreans don’t know about.
Take the elevator and press R to go up to the rooftop.
You can see a unique cathedral with a different atmosphere from Korea.
You can see the Koreana Hotel building in the distance~
After taking a short commemorative photo, we head straight to Deoksugung Palace.
If you walk in the direction you were just walking, you will reach Deoksugung Palace in just one minute.
Buy Wow Pass a little cheaper
There are too many people.
There are too many people at the ticket booth on the right.
In fact, if you don’t buy a ticket at the ticket booth, but tag your card at the entrance, like in the subway, 1,000 won will be charged automatically.
Many people don’t know this and are waiting in line to buy tickets.
- You don’t need to buy a ticket, just tag your card at the entrance.
- Free for those under 24.
- Closed on Mondays.
I recommend weekdays.
Saturdays and Sundays are too crowded.
In particular, when I visited, there was a collaboration exhibition with Mickey Mouse.
The various palaces are also cool,
and the buildings with different techniques are also cool.
I like buying Korean souvenirs at the Sarang Cafe located on the right side of the entrance.
There are many different and pretty souvenirs.
The souvenirs here are of good quality.
Across the street from Deoksugung Palace is City Hall Plaza.
You can enjoy it with various concepts from time to time.
The concept when we went was fall reading.
It was nice to take a break for a while.
And if you walk a little bit, Cheonggyecheon is right next to it.
It’s only a 2-minute walk from here.
● Across the street from GLOCALOCA Gwanghwamun Hotel
Cheonggyecheon is right across the hotel.
Last time I reviewed Midcity Myeongdong Hotel, I saw him playing in the water
but now that it’s a little colder, he’s reading a book.
It’s a good place to take a light walk.
I’ll briefly explain two restaurants around Cheonggyecheon.
● Recommended restaurants around Cheonggyecheon
Rather than a delicious restaurant, it has a fun concept, so
If you are traveling, it is a place worth stopping by at least once.
I introduced it last time, but it is a duplicate.
It is located right next to Cheonggyecheon, so it is easily accessible.
I will not mention the detailed location or information separately.
There was a previous review, and it is easy to find, so I will skip it.
It is right next to Cheonggyecheon.
We were lucky enough to be assigned a room.
BBQ Village is also fun like this
The real restaurant is
Come from Cheonggyecheon towards Jongno.
The name of the store I’m going to now is “Gwanghwamun Mijin.”
It is located very close, about 3 minutes on foot from Cheonggyecheon.
Just come to Jongno Pimatgol.
They say you always have to wait in line here hahaha
English, Japanese and Chinese are available.
It is said that this restaurant is famous for Bossam Jeongsik and Panmomil.
There is usually a waiting time of 10 to 20 minutes,
but it was good to look around other restaurants nearby during that waiting time.
The store is so popular lol
There is no separate menu, it’s just a small sign posted in a corner of the store
I had to squeeze in to take a picture of the menu with difficulty
You can’t see the menu from where you’re sitting
I folded the stroller and went up to the second floor
It seems like the second floor is a little quieter
Panmomil 12,000 won Bossam set 12,000 won
This is a total of 24,000 won.
Yes! It’s delicious.
I especially liked this sweet sauce
It was so delicious, oh.. should I order more??
Since the amount of food we ate was unusual, we had no choice but to order more pork cutlet,
but ordering pork cutlet was a bit disappointing.
It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t special either
However, the pan-fried buckwheat noodles and bossam set were pretty good!
I recommend pork cutlet only to customers with children.
