The information is very accurate because of our years of traveling experience and because I go and film it myself.

There is also a category for indoor activities.
● Take public transportation

Traveling with a stroller on the subway is not bad.
However, please avoid using strollers on weekdays from 7am-10am and 4pm-8pm.
Especially the Gangnam subway line should be avoided during rush hour.

This is the inside of subway line 3 on a weekday in January . We are passing Gyeongbokgung Station.

When baby strollers, wheelchairs, carriers, etc. take up a lot of space in the Korean subway
It is a good idea to use the caring space located on one side of the subway.
Please note that there is a large picture of a wheelchair on the subway platform.

There are tons of people at the entrance of Gwangjang Market.
Even though it’s not a weekend, there are a lot of people lining up to buy hotteok andtwisted bread stick.
From what I saw today, it seems to be a ratio of college students3, domestic tourists3, and foreign tourists4.

standing in line like this to eat twisted bread stick
is somewhat incomprehensible to a Seoulite hahahaha.
There are many other delicious places to eat in Seoul.
You can also try Mangwon Market, which is close to Hongdae and the Han River with fewer people!

Ho-tteok is sold at the entrance for 2,000-2,500 won, but try the basic one.
The syrup inside is very hot, so be careful.

Especially at the entrance, there are a lot of people.
At the entrance, they mainly sell hotteok, tteokbokki bindaetteok, and souvenirs.

There’s so much to eat. I’ll give you a good place to go later.
Gwangjang Market

At the entrance, it’s not easy to maneuver a stroller, but about halfway in, it’s a little wider.
The end of the market is more relaxed.
It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the end of the market, taking your time.

In the middle of the market, a shop I had never seen before appeared.
A shop with beautifully cut and packaged traditional Korean sweets.
These would make great souvenirs!
I haven’t tried them myself, but they look great for gifts.
Actually, I prefer the big bulk ones to eat myself, but this pretty packaging is a must for gifts!

Hot broth noodles in winter at the end of the market
In the summer, you can mostly eat cold noodles.
There used to be hygiene problems, but nowadays the ward office is managing it well, so it’s okay.

It costs around 6,000 to 7,000 won.
It is characterized by a light broth made with anchovies and chewy noodles.
When people from Hong Kong, Vietnam, and other South Asian countries eat it, they don’t feel the strong spice flavor and aroma.
It has a meaty, light flavor.
For Europeans and Americans, it tastes like a clear meat broth with noodles.
I used to eat it in passing, but today I’m going to introduce a different menu.

Back toward the entrance, I went for the most popular, Soonhee’s Bindaetteok.
Oh my God… There are so many people, sitting close together, and it’s so narrow.
I can’t even fit my stroller in there.
So I asked her
“Do you think a stroller can fit?”
And the lady inside said.
“It’s the same house as Soon-hee’s Yukhoe Bindaetteok right in front.”
Most people don’t know that!

Yeah, that’s right.
The sign looks similar.
It was at the entrance to Gwangjang Market.
I used to pass by it every time because it was so crowded!
The store is large enough to fit a stroller next to it.
It’s clean and comfortable.

Great for solo dining or a large group
Located just to the right of the entrance to Gwangjang Market

Did you know that yukhoe is popular among travelers in Japan these days?
Today we’re going to try their signature dishes: Bindaetteok, meat dumplings, and rice wine.
To give you an idea of the menu!
The combo menu is 25,000 won, which includes the basic menu, bindaetteok, meat dumplings, and yukhoe.
And the basic menu mung bean bindaetteok 5,000 won
and meat dumplings 3,000 won
Shrimp bindaetteok and meat bindaetteok are 10,000 won.
Yukhoe bibimbap is 9,000 won.
Makgeolli, a traditional Korean liquor, costs 3,000 won to 6,000 won.
Gwangjang Market

I ordered the basic mung bean bindaetteok 5,000 won, meat dumplings 3,000 won
and 4,000 won of soonhee makgeolli.
That’s just under $10 in US dollars.

It’s a bit too little for a full meal for two people,
but it’s not bad for a light snack.
Lightly fried meat chunks and flour battered vegetables.
The oil is very fresh compared to other places.

Loah was sleeping in her stroller and it felt like a date for the first time in a long time.

The Bindaetteok and meat dumplings were not bad,
but the makgeolli was a bit more bland than I expected.

This is how they grind the beans and fry them in oil.
If you come to Korea, it’s basically a must-try food.
As for traditional liquor, I think you should try something else instead of the Soonhee makgeolli I had.
Soonhee Makgeolli is too mild, hahaha.
There are a few more things to see besides Gwangjang Market, so please refer to my article and have a fun trip.
