hanok cafe, family hot springs
Changnyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, is about a four-hour drive from the capital city of Seoul.
It is a small city in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea.
about an 3hour and a half by intercity bus.
I recommend this place because
- There are cultural assets all over the city.
- There is also a well-preserved natural area, the natural Upo Swamp.
- The area is famous for its hot springs,
- and the hanok cafes are very cool
- It’s a great place to take a photo to prove you’re really in Korea.
If you’re looking to get away from the developed city of Seoul and experience the hot springs and history of Korea, Changnyeong is the place to go.
Today, we’re taking you on a 2-day, 1-night trip to Changnyeong with Loah.
The photo was taken at Hanok Cafe Nori.

In fact, it’s quite a distance from Seoul, so once you’ve scheduled downward, it’s a good idea to schedule other nearby cities with the
with other nearby cities to travel together.
Changnyeong is a very southern city in South Korea.
Although there is a direct bus from Seoul South Bus Terminal to Changnyeong Intercity Bus Terminal,
Changnyeong is not as well connected as Seoul.
You’ll need to rent a car and drive yourself to get around.
(
If you’re not traveling with your family and are a younger traveler
You can use buses and taxis to get around.
However, the cost can be a bit high.)
●Start your 2-day, 1-night trip to Changnyeong
Traveling distances between attractions within Changnyeong are short.
It usually takes about 10 minutes to 30 minutes to travel to each tourist spot.

This is a very well preserved and manicured natural swamp site.
It is one of only 18 certified Ramsar sites in the world.
There is a wide variety of creatures living in the water, and beautiful birds that you won’t see in big cities.
First, enter the exhibition hall.
Start with a tour of the Upo Wetland Ecological Experience Center exhibits
Wheelchair rental service, stroller rental service,
sunshade rental, and mat rental services are available.
This is an introduction to the different animals associated with the swamp.
It gives a detailed description of the fish in real life.
Loah’s mom is demonstrating for her!
If you go up to the third floor, you can look out over the swamp from the observation deck.
You can read about the Ramsar site.
The building is small, so we have a quick tour of the first, and third floors and then head out.
It’ll feel like a very well-manicured garden.
It’s a very pretty tree path.
Loah was still excited today!!!
You’ll see a variety of birds along the way!
Actually, there are a lot of experiences here, but unfortunately, I didn’t get to try any of them.
My visit was in the summer when the weather was too hot.
There was hand fishing experience and boat rides, but too bad!
But the atmosphere was so nice that it was a nice walk~.
2. Lee Seobang gomtang. (1 pm)
This restaurant is located on the way to the center, away from the tourist spots on the left.

Menu: Korean Food (Meat Soup)
Why we love it: If you’re traveling with kids like we are, this is a place they’ll love!
You can taste the rich Korean meat soup.
Located on a main road, it’s easy to get to by car
It’s a very clean and spacious restaurant.
There are separate restrooms and hand-washing stations, and even a nursing room!
But the best part is the children’s playroom
It’s right in front of the dining area.
so you can watch the kids play while you eat.
If you’re traveling with kids, this is the place to go.
I recommend this place more for its kids playroom than for the food.
This food comes straight from the Korean culture of tang.
It’s a clear soup with sliced vegetables in water in which meat is boiled for a very long time.
It is served with rice and kimchi.
The price for a single serving is 12,000 won.
Even small babies eat well!
Let’s go to the next place!
3. old Korean Ancient tombs. (2 p.m.)
There is a place where there is a collection of very old burial mounds.
It takes about 10 minutes to get here by car from the restaurant you just left.

This is a very old tomb complex.
I recommend this place because!
I recommend this place because you can take photos that look like your computer’s desktop.
It’s a great place to spend about 30 minutes exploring.
Of course. It shouldn’t be raining, right?
Next spot is the museum right in front of us.
4. Changnyeong Museum (Children’s Museum). (3 p.m.)
I won’t attach a map and address, but it’s right in front of the grave I described above.
Open Hours : 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed Mondays)
Admission fee : Free
Website : www.cng.go.kr/tour/museum.web
Features : For a small city museum, the quality is very high.
The children’s museum next door has a nursing room and other areas to keep the kids entertained.
I wasn’t expecting it, but it’s a really cool museum.
I’m describing the tomb building scene that you saw earlier.
After a quick tour of the museum, we went next door to the Children’s Museum, which has a nursing room.
Loah’s mom just got a new look, hahahaha.
The Children’s Museum has historical playground equipment for kids
Play is a natural way to engage with cultural heritage
We’re digging for artifacts through play.
All of this is free.
It’s also very well maintained.
After about an hour of sightseeing and relaxation, it’s time to move on.
5. Yeongsan mannyeon Bridge (5pm)
This is a great place to take a photo at dusk before entering the kids hotel.
The stone bridge is beautiful.
This time, we’re going south.
It will take about 16 minutes to travel by car.
Adress : 42 Wondari-gil, Yeongsan-myeon, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do
Google map : https://goo.gl/maps/1nFsYXTfkpmjWzoZA

Recommendations : Take great background photos!
It’s a beautiful bridge that is always compared to the Devil’s Bridge in Germany.
It’s so beautiful to photograph when the sun is setting.
There’s a story about the Yeongsan mannyeon Bridge.
Once you’ve captured some great photos, it’s time to move on to the final leg of today’s tour: your accommodation.

A great place to spend quality time with your family
Website : kidsstayhotel.com
I can park right in front of the hotel entrance.
It’s easy to move your luggage.
Upon entering, we’re greeted by a pretty interior.
Check-in time: 5pm
If you arrive before 5pm, you can play in the kids’ playroom in the basement (free).
This is the playroom I booked on the 4th floor.
Each floor has a different concept.
The price per night is usually around 160,000~200,000 KRW,
sometimes they are sold at a lower price at events.
The facility is very clean and well maintained.
No kitchen to make food, but a big fridge (+ welcome drink and welcome breakfast kit)
In front of the bedroom is a playroom for the kids.
This is a room that most young children will probably love.
Loah’s already had her first round, hahaha.
There is a family bath next to the restrooms.
The water comes from a hot spring and is very nice!
Other places in Korea charge extra to turn up the temperature of the water, or to add water to the bath.
But here there are no extra charges at all.
I am very satisfied So recomendated it on my site now.
You can’t cook in your space.
Buy food at a convenience store,
visit a nearby restaurant,
or
call a nearby restaurant for a variety of food options!

How was your trip to Changnyeong with Loah and her mom and dad?
These are just a few of the great things you can do when visiting South Korea with a young child.
We’ll be back with more great places and things to do in the future!
There’s a little more in the Korean version of our trip to Changnyeong.
Since this is a foreigner’s version of the site, I wanted to make it as foreigner-friendly as possible.
This posting is created a new short course for foreigners.
