Hi, this is Loah’s dad!
Today I’m going to tell you about Jeju Island, the most popular vacation destination for Koreans.
Jeju Island is a huge vacation spot and a great tourist destination.
I wanted to showcase only places I’ve recently visited on the site,
but Google doesn’t seem to like it because the Jeju category is blank on the Withdrawa site hahahaha.
I’m going to share with you based on my visit a year ago.

Jeju Island is the ultimate vacation destination.
Today, I’m going to give you a brief introduction to Jeju Island and what you should focus on.
Jeju Island is about an hour’s flight from the capital city of Seoul.
You can also get there by boat, but I don’t recommend it for international travelers who are short on time.
I recommend this place because it’s
because it is the most scenic vacation spot in Korea.
Even a casual snapshot in the right place can be really cool.
If you’re looking to get out of the developed city of Seoul and see some of Korea’s beauty, we’ve got you covered.
Here’s a 3-day, 2-night itinerary for Jeju Island.

Location – All of Jeju Island (South Korea’s largest island in the south)
Access – from Gimpo Airport (1 hour)
What to See – Beaches, Hallasan Mountain, cliffs, waterfalls, Udo Island, and more
Recommended Travelers –
- people who are interested in Korea but only know Seoul.
- travelers who want to see great scenery while traveling in East Asia.
- people who like trekking (Jeju Island’s circumference is very beautiful and cool).
- people who can drive (Jeju Island is difficult to travel by public transportation, so it is convenient to rent a car.)
- Traveling to Jeju Island with your family will bring you closer together.

I tried to keep it light today, but I can’t help but start with rental cars.
Jeju Island is a difficult place to travel by public transportation.
Of course, you can do it, but in order to travel effectively, you need to prepare your international driver’s license in advance
you need to rent a car on Jeju Island.
You’ll need to have an international driver’s license, and it depends on the type of car, but in general, for the SUV you see in the photo, it’s around 80,000 won to 120,000 won per day, depending on the company.
That’s all I have to say about renting today, and I’ll explain more about renting next time.
Jeju Island is a very large island.
You will never see it all in a day or two.
You need at least five days to see it properly.
And that’s just to get a taste of the island.
But today I’m going to show you a 2-day, 3-night compressed trip that you should at least know about.
I’ll assume you arrive at Jeju Airport at 10am.

Day 1.
Sightseeing in the north of Jeju Island, near the airport and along the coastal road.

A year ago, Loah was in her mom’s belly.

This cafe is run by the famous Korean chef Paik Jong-won.
Paik’s coffee & bakery <–google map
This is the view outside the cafe.
It’s right near the airport, so it’s a great place to stop when you arrive or before you leave
Next up is the coastal road, where you can take pictures of anything along the way.
I follow the coastal road to the left side of Jeju Island.

You’re driving down the coastal road, and you stop for a moment to take a
and take a picture!
You can make a great photo anywhere
Best time to travel is from March to June and August to October

I arrived at a cafe in Aewol
a cafe run by G-dragon, the original k-pop singer of Big Bang.
https://goo.gl/maps/QfbyvNz9ZUdw6AYv6 <–google map
It’s very famous and crowded with tourists.
At this point, it must have been around 1:00-2:00 p.m.

You can create great photos both inside and outside.
Jeju Island is a hotspot everywhere!!!
We move on and head to the nearby Hyeopjae Beach.

The water is shallow, the water is warm, and the waves are gentle enough for small children to play in.
It doesn’t feel like a Korean beach at all.
By the time we got here, it must have been around 3 or 4 pm!

We’re running out of time, so we quickly head to Osullock House.
This is a green tea-themed museum.
The green tea ice cream is so delicious,
and the large green tea garden is impressive.

Just down the road from Hyeopjae Beach is Osullok Green Tea Plantation.
https://goo.gl/maps/NfY9Ydk6BaV26vrv6 <– google map

You can spend about an hour and a half exploring the tea plantation and taste a variety of teas inside,
You can buy and eat simple food.
The ice cream is especially popular.
By the time you’re done, it should be around 6pm.

Now we’ll move to Seogwipo, the lower part of Jeju Island.
Jeju Island is divided into two main areas, Jeju City in the upper part and Seogwipo City in the lower part.
In just one day, we’ll quickly explore the left side of Jeju Island
Now we’ll head south to Seogwipo.
to eat black pork, Jeju’s specialty food.
There are many famous black pork restaurants, so I won’t mention any of them.

Don’t miss Jeju Island’s specialty black pork
Recommended.

Check out my article on Korean restaurants
And I’ll save my detailed trip to Jeju Island for another time.
That wraps up Day 1.
DAY 2.
Today we’ll be sightseeing in Seogwipo.
Seogwipo has a lot of cool places, mainly cliffs and waterfalls.

Jusangjeollidae

It takes about 1 to 2 hours,
Operating hours: 09:00 ~ 17:40
Admission fee: Adult KRW 2,000, Child KRW 1,000

The surroundings are so beautiful and there are so many places to take pictures.
In fact, if you don’t have 2 days and 3 nights, there are many more places to visit.
The beach is very popular with surfers and families.
The location is

If you have a lot of time, you might want to stop by.
I got here around 9am and will be here until 11am.
This time, we’re going to show you a famous place to have lunch.

https://goo.gl/maps/G6aSRm3LuEExsjJcA <–google map

This restaurant is famous for its ribeye dishes.
They remove the spines from the very long cutlassfish to make it easier to eat,
and many tourists are coming.
I think it’s about 1pm here.
Next up is Seogwipo Olle Market.

Move slightly to the right.
This is Olle Market in Seogwipo City.
https://goo.gl/maps/8S742xCCHJHfM6S58 <–google map

There are plenty of restaurants, so you can try a wide variety of foods.
Especially street snacks, so you can try a little bit of everything.
You’re moving a little bit to the right on the map, right?
I’d like to write more, but this post is getting too long, so I’ll stop here and move on to the next place.
I think it’s about 3pm by now.
The next place is a little further to the right,

Terrarosa coffee is famous in Korea.

You can include it in your course or leave it out,
because it’s the most famous coffee shop in Korea.
https://goo.gl/maps/vs2Ut8pydiPDVbx8A <–google map
Explaining this would make this post too long, so I’ll do it properly next time.
For today, I’m going to write down a rough map of Jeju Island and the course.
If I get this far, it will be around 4-5pm.
If it’s too tight, I’ll have to leave out places I don’t want.

Wow Am I in Korea?? Hahaha
Next up.

This is a Pyoseon beach.
https://goo.gl/maps/AL1KFwwcozyLtVQSA <–google map
Pyoseon Beach is located halfway between Seogwipo and Seongsan
The water is shallow, the waves are calm, and the water is clean.
There are many families traveling here.
I think I’m being greedy, it’s almost 6pm by the time I get here hahahaha.
After spending about an hour here, we move on to Seongsan.

“Seopjikoji.” located near Seongsan,
https://goo.gl/maps/Pdm1g8ne34gRofJP8 <–google map
I am feeding a horse that is just resting on the side of the road.
Jeju Island is famous for its horses.
This location is not shown on the map, I found it myself.

I can’t see it on the map, it’s on the road behind Aqua Planet Jeju.
If you’re lucky, you might see a horse just standing there like I did.
This is a great place to park your car for a while and enjoy the view.

If you see shallow water along the way,
you can snorkel directly.
Sometimes, in shallow areas with weak waves
we go directly into the ocean.

Jeju Island is surrounded by the sea, so there are places that rent out equipment like this along the way.
If you are a confident swimmer, you can go directly into the sea from the shallows.
However, it can be a little dangerous at times.
The 2-day schedule is too tight!
I’m going to have to subtract about 2 from the schedule hahaha.

This is the famous Seongsan Ilchulbong on Jeju Island.

As you can see on the map, it is located on the east side of Jeju Island,
The part that sticks out above is Seongsan Ilchulbong and
https://goo.gl/maps/MA5ZGGoMRFe1R7uW8 <—google map
The protruding part at the bottom is the Seopjikoji that I described earlier.
These are the two most famous sight on the east side of Jeju Island.
Try Jeju’s famous meat noodles

The right side is not recommended for foreigners.
Spicy!!!
You must try meat noodles in Jeju Island.
10 Seopjikoji-ro 46beon-gil, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do
There are many shops here and there, but the shop at the above address is the most famous.
It’s between Seopjikoji and Seongsan Ilchulbong.
The second day of the trip is already over.
Especially on the second day, I think I introduced too many places.
Actually, Udo island is very beautiful and famous, but the schedule is too short!
But today, I’m just going to give you a quick overview of Jeju Island, so let’s call it a day.
DAY 3.
Jeju Island is famous for its horses,
and there are horseback riding experiences everywhere.

On the right, now travel north using the coastal road.

https://goo.gl/maps/dtoJUGKQTjCRonHi9 <– google map
After stopping at Hamdeok Beach to take some photos, you’ll head to the airport to leave Jeju Island.
It’s about a 40-minute drive from here to Jeju Airport.
This was the end of the 2-day, 3-night course.

We haven’t covered Jeju Island in detail.
I’ll write more about it later.
Jeju Island is beautiful, especially if you come in April, when various flowers bloom.

Before Loah was born, her mom was pregnant and visited Jeju Island in April last year.

If you’re visiting in winter
Jeju Island is very famous for Hallabong and Cheonhyehyang.
I could go on and on about that, but it would be too long.
This is just a very brief description of Jeju Island.
Jeju Island is so big, there are so many tourist spots, and there are so many famous foods.
It’s too hard to introduce it for 2 days and 3 nights
I will introduce it in more detail next time, and that’s it for today.
If you want to know more about Jeju Island, please leave a comment.
Bye!!!
