A secret cafe that even Koreans don’t know about!
It’s famous as a filming location for dramas and is often used in the Korean drama Dojebi.
The interior is so cool,
The only downside is that it’s a bit far from Seoul!
Look at Google Maps!
There’s an irregular line across the top of your destination.
Yes!!! The top of the line is North Korea!!!
And it’s a bit far from Seoul, which is a disadvantage.
But other than that, if your goal is to take pictures, this is a must-see.
Other than sharing a car with someone in Seoul
If you take a taxi, it will cost you a lot of money.
The best way to get there is by car, preferably with someone you know.
Otherwise, you can take the bus.
First, head to Hapjeong Station, where you’ll find subway lines 2 and 6!
(It takes 1 hour from here).
Take Exit 1 of Hapjeong Station as shown in the photo, and there is a bus stop right in front of you,
Take bus 2200 as shown in the photo.
Bus 2200 is probably not paid for by the tourist pass, so please prepare a separate t-money.
Or bring 3,000 won in cash per person.
The fare is 2,900 won, 13 stops. The trip takes about 50 minutes.
The National Folk Museum is called “성동사거리” in Korean.
(If you’re having trouble with this – show the bus driver the photo above about 40 minutes after boarding, when the bus is at a stoplight, and he’ll let you know when to get off!)
It’s not hard, just cross the street from where you got off and board here
In Korean, it’s called “맛골을입구”.
Take bus 75-2 from here.
Get off after 6 stops (about 6 minutes)
It’s a very small bus stop.
It means “자유로병원” in Korean.
If you miss it or get off at the wrong stop, it’s still within walking distance.
Walk a bit in the direction of the arrow
From here, you’ll have to walk a bit.
It’s about 3 minutes away.
Directly in front of you is a two-way street. Take the road to the right like the arrow.
This is a completely rural Korean road.
It’s actually a 3-minute walk, but it looks hard when you describe it.
but there’s nothing difficult about it.
If you make it to the road in the photo above, you’re almost there!
We’re really here~~!
This is what it looks like from the front.
Actually, from the outside. I thought, “Well, it’s just a good imitation of European architecture!
until I saw the interior.
You’ll need to change into indoor shoes when you enter.
They seem to keep it clean.
Personally, I didn’t want to wear someone else’s shoes, but I had no choice.
But! The shoes were clean.
Wow!!!
Can you feel the emotion in the photo?
You really have to see this in person!
I can see why this place is often used as a backdrop for Korean dramas.
It’s not just a replica, it’s a showcase of really amazing antique items.
with tons of antique items!
We got there at opening time and it was deserted.
At first, when there were no people, we moved around and took pictures.
A quick trip up to the second floor!
This is the library concept.
Loah’s dad was snapping pictures like crazy.
I was so impressed with the interior.
But this is a cafe!
Order food or drinks!!!
This is a staircase going down to the first floor.
They didn’t leave the stairs alone.
Everywhere is like an art gallery or an exhibition.
Loah’s mom and dad
owned a dessert shop for over a decade.
They made their own chocolate, they made their own cakes, they made their own desserts.
So we try a chocolate drink here too.
Mmm~~ They use French Valrhona chocolate here!
A very strong chocolate drink costs 10,000 won.
What do you think? Do they look good together? 😍😍😍
We got there early for weekday opening hours and there were no customers!
The guy who works here took our picture.
I finish my tea and head back upstairs to finish the rest of my work and get ready to leave.
We spent a little over an hour and took a lot of pictures.
There is also a place to eat here.
If you can’t see the picture of the menu board, try zooming in~~.
If you can’t see the menu picture well, please try to enlarge it~~.
There are not many meal menus
most drinks are 10,000 won.
Japanese curry rice 15,000 won
Panini with ham and cheese 10,000 won
Steamed beef is 25,000 won.
After visiting Cafe ZINO
you can go back in the reverse order of how you came!
There are other famous tourist spots nearby.
I won’t mention them in this article, but you can search for them if you want.
A typical place is
- Provence Village
- Heyri Village
- Paju Outlets
There are three tourist destinations.
To get to the village of Provence, you can walk or take the bus,
back to the bus stop where you got off.
Then take bus 75, line or 38 in the direction of the arrow and get off at the 3rd stop. It takes about 3 minutes.
This is where you get off.
1.Provence Village is a tourist destination that mimics the Provence region of France and is visited by many Koreans.
The village of Heyri is home to many artists, stalls selling a wide variety of goods, and many famous cafes and restaurants.
It’s a little further than the Provence village border.
In fact, Provence Village is small and not popular,
Heyri Village is very popular and many Koreans go there.
Take the same 75 bus
and get off at the 8th stop.
It takes about 7 minutes.
It’s bigger than a Provençal village, with lots to see, restaurants and cafes.
Paju Outlets is a great place for shopping.
If I have time, I will write more about the above attractions.
We’ve been to every corner of Korea and we’re telling you about it.
We’ll post more and better information!
See you in my next post to tell you more about it.
Bye!!!👍
