Hello! We are a Korean family traveling around Korea with our young child, Loah.
We share honest reviews of places we personally visit, hoping to help fellow travelers like you discover hidden gems across Korea.
Today, we’re introducing a hotel where you can enjoy a hot spring water park and stay overnight in Korea, a country known for its clean and high-quality water.
Splas Resom Hot Spring Water Park is located in Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do, an area well known for its hot springs.
Spaview Hotel is located near Splas Resom, making it a convenient place to stay while visiting the water park.
This article is not sponsored content.
All expenses were paid by us, and we are sharing our honest, firsthand experience.
- It is more affordable than staying at Splas Resom Resort, yet offers a large hot spring bade pool.
- The in-room bade pool is spacious, and hot spring water flows generously.
- There is no additional charge for using the hot spring water.
- Ondol-style rooms are great for children to play freely and safely.
- Soundproofing is good, allowing for a quiet stay.
- Heating and air conditioning work very well.
- However, the room cleanliness could be improved, which was slightly disappointing.
For more detailed information, we’ve organized everything below ⬇️
●Introduction (Korean Hot Spring Stay Near a Spa Water Park)

Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do is well known as a hot spring region.
This area is home to the famous Splas Resom Hot Spring Water Park, which also operates its own resort.
While you can stay at the resort itself, prices tend to be high, and there are no in-room hot spring baths, which is why we chose this hotel instead.

On weekdays, $100 per night for a family of four offers excellent value for money.
After enjoying the hot spring water park, this hotel is perfect for relaxing in a private hot spring bath, which is why we wanted to share it with you.

We are familiar with many hot spring destinations across Korea, and soon we plan to create a comparison article and video featuring Korean hot spring water parks.
We visited Splas Resom just a few days ago, during January—the coldest month in Korea.
The temperature dropped to -10°C, yet the hot springs were still incredibly enjoyable.

At Korean hot spring water parks, rash guards are more commonly worn than standard swimsuits.
Especially in winter, wearing a regular swimsuit can feel too cold for outdoor pools, making it difficult to stay comfortable.
If you’re visiting during winter, we recommend preparing neoprene swimwear, which helps retain body heat.
Although Coupang is a Korean shopping platform, it can deliver directly to your hotel within one day.

● Spaview Hotel Location (Korean Hot Spring Stay Near a Spa Water Park)

It is located about 2 hours from Seoul.
There is a non-stop direct bus from Gangnam Express Bus Terminal to Splas Resom.

From Splas Resom Hot Spring Water Park to Spaview Hotel, it is about a 20-minute walk.
By private car, it takes about 5 minutes.
● How to Get to the Hot Springs (Korean Hot Spring Stay Near a Spa Water Park)

From Express Bus Terminal Station on Subway Lines 3 and 7,
you are directly connected to Central City Express Bus Terminal.
From here, there is a direct bus to Splas Resom.

Because the terminal is connected to the subway, it is very easy to find,
and you can go straight to the hot springs from here, which is very convenient
(about 2 hours).
The final destination is Splas Resom (via Yesan Terminal).

You can also make reservations online in advance.
English, Japanese, and Chinese are supported.
Website address: https://www.kobus.co.kr/main.do

Departure: Seoul Central City
Arrival: Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do

There are Premium buses and regular buses, with a small difference in price.
Adult Premium – 12,700 KRW, Adult Economy – 8,700 KRW
For example, when selecting the 7:10 AM Premium bus from Seoul,

the final fare for 2 adults and 2 children was 38,200 KRW.
Economy buses are more affordable.
In general, you can also purchase tickets directly at the terminal.
The bus makes one stop at Yesan Terminal before arrival,
but continues directly to the final destination, Splas Resom.
For this reason, it is the most convenient transportation option for foreign travelers.
The travel time is about 1.5 hours at the fastest, and up to 2 hours depending on conditions.
● Hotel lobby, reception and elevator (Korean Hot Spring Stay Near a Spa Water Park)

We arrived late at night after spending time at the water park.
It is safe to walk at night, but since this area is rural, it was quite dark.

The lobby was not very large.
The staff were very friendly.

You can see information about the hotel’s facilities and amenities.
On Basement Level 1, there is a large sundae gukbap restaurant, and in the building across from the hotel, there is a hot spring bathhouse and a convenience store.
In addition, the building to the right across the street has a free gym.
Inside the hotel, there is also a coin laundry.

There was one elevator on the left, and
we were assigned to the first floor, entering our room through the hallway between the reception and the elevator.

Family bath rooms like ours, which include a bade pool, seem to be assigned to the first floor.

- This is not an advertisement. I booked and stayed here myself.

In Korea, being able to use a private hot spring bade pool at this price is excellent value,
so I highly recommend this Korean Hot Spring Stay.

There were various room types, including bed-style rooms, ondol-style rooms, and caravan-style rooms.
We chose a Korean-style ondol room with a bade pool.
Since there were four of us, we stayed in a 4-person room,
which felt slightly small.
If you select the 6-person option, there is also a 6-person room,
and the price difference is not significant.
For that reason, I also recommend the 6-person room.
Prices vary by booking website.

● Spaview Hotel Room Review (Korean Hot Spring Stay Near a Spa Water Park)

If you enter through the hallway next to the reception desk, you will see the first-floor rooms.
It seems that family bade pool rooms are all assigned to the first floor.
We were assigned Room 107, which was right in front.
Because it was along a walkway where people pass by, we expected it to be noisy,
but the soundproofing was excellent.
We could not hear any noise at all inside the room.
Because it was close, moving our luggage was very convenient.

There is a middle door at the shoe-removal area.
There were also four outdoor slippers provided for wearing outside the hotel.

Our first impression was that the room felt smaller than expected.
However, it also felt clean and well-maintained.

On the right side, there was a sink and a large bade pool in the bathroom.

There was a standard sink, four regular towels, and one large towel.
We wish there had been more large towels.
Basic soap was provided.

At the back, there is a toilet enclosed by a frosted door,
and a shower booth on the opposite side.
The shower booth does not have a separate door.
The bathroom itself also does not have a door.
Only the toilet has a door.
This seems to be for ventilation purposes.

There were two mats for two people, and next to them was a large wooden table.

The TV size was good, and it was nice that all OTT streaming services were available.
There is a hanger, but having only one bathrobe felt a bit strange.

There were four bottles of water in the refrigerator, matching the number of guests.
The refrigerator was small but acceptable.

This is a photo taken looking outside from inside the room.
This room type features a unique ceiling and a large hot spring bade pool.

We placed the two mats together to use them.
We laid out clothes brought back from the water park to dry,
fully preparing for the stay.
Because the floor is ondol rather than carpet, children can run and play freely, which is a big advantage.

Because of the kids, we thoroughly wiped down the inside of the bade pool,
and it was cleaner than expected.
After cleaning for about 5 minutes and running the water for about 30 minutes,
the pool was more than half full.
The hot spring water flowed very strongly.

Ventilation was good,
the water pressure was excellent,
and we had a really great time.
● Hotel Facilities (Korean Hot Spring Stay Near a Spa Water Park)
🏤 Basement Level 1

There is a large sundae gukbap restaurant on Basement Level 1.

Next to it, there are three microwaves available for free use.
The microwaves were not very well maintained and a bit dirty.
🏤 Building Across from the Hotel

In the building directly across from the hotel, there is a hot spring bathhouse and a convenience store, and on the right side, there is a gym.

When you enter the building, you will see an E-Mart.

This place also operates a hot spring bathhouse with good water quality.
However, since we used Splas Resom Water Park and the in-room bade pool, we did not use this facility.
We were told that there is also a small water park–like facility for children here.

The building on the right is the gym building.
The entrance to the gym is quite unique.

Inside, you’ll find a very large space with exercise equipment, a billiards table,
and coin-operated washing machines at the far end.
The exercise equipment looked very clean, but it didn’t seem like many people actually use it.

There is one washing machine and one dryer, each costing 4,000 KRW,
and detergent and fabric softener cost 500 KRW each.

The space is really spacious.
There is a sign saying that you must change into indoor athletic shoes to use the gym.
We saw several pairs of indoor shoes,
but we could not confirm whether guests are allowed to use them.
● Things to See Around Spaview Hotel (Recommended Stay Near Splas Resom)Korean Hot Spring Stay
🏤 Deoksan Hot Spring Foot Bath

There is a free hot spring foot bath located about a 9-minute walk from the hotel.
This place is located together with a tourist information center.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/jEA2dZRgqEJBBjr27

It is a one-story, house-shaped building.

You need to remove your shoes before entering.
Towels are not provided, so please make sure to bring your own.

Once inside, wash your feet first,

then you can use the facility freely.
You will probably see many local residents here.
Most of them are elderly people.

There were many people at first,
but we took a full shot after many of them had left.
The water is very hot, so young children may not enjoy it.
The water temperature is said to be 41°C,
and it felt hotter than expected.

It is a free hot spring, but definitely worth experiencing.
On the right side on the map, there is a popular local restaurant called Mong Shabu Kalguksu.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/gNhLUGckS5Jd3KzL9
🏤 Splas Resom Hot Spring Water Park

It takes about 20 minutes on foot,
and about 5 minutes by car.

The water park is operated using natural hot spring water.

There are various attractions both indoors and outdoors.

Since this article focuses on the hotel,
we are only briefly introducing the water park here,
and will leave the detailed information for a separate water park review.
We visited in January, the coldest winter month in Korea.
The water quality and facilities here are suitable for everyone, from very young children to seniors.
More detailed information will be shared in the Splas Resom review.
