Today, we’re introducing 7 Korean Hot Spring water parks in Korea that are known for their clean, high-quality natural Korean Hot Spring water.
What makes Korean hot springs unique is that, in addition to the healing and relaxation traditionally associated with Japanese-style onsen, Korea has developed excellent integrated hot spring water parks that combine spa facilities with water park attractions.
Our family has selected and organized 7 Korean Hot Spring water parks in central Korea that we believe are worth introducing to international travelers.

two locations in Chungcheongnam-do, which is famous for hot springs,

● Woongjin Play City (An indoor Korean hot spring water park located in the Seoul metropolitan area)
The facilities are very well equipped, making them suitable even for very young babies.
It’s a great place for children to play all day using natural hot spring water.
The outdoor open-air hot spring baths are also enjoyable.
There are water slides, and they are more thrilling than you might expect.
This is a place where everyone—from infants to seniors—can enjoy both activities and relaxation.
In Korea, you receive a numbered wristband key at the ticket counter, which is used to pay for items such as restaurants or life jackets inside the hot spring facility.
When you leave, you simply settle the total amount at the ticket counter.

Unlike many other places, towels are not provided here, which is both a drawback and a unique feature.
We recommend this place for its combination of hot springs and a water park.
Rather than paying on-site, we recommend booking online in advance; however, unfortunately,
at the moment, only Korean-language websites are available.

● Paradise City – CIMER (Luxury Korean Hot Spring Water Park in Incheon)
This is a luxury hot spring water park operated by Paradise City Hotel.
Unfortunately, children under the age of 7 are not allowed to enter.
This place works well for families, and it is also quite a romantic spot for couples.
Rather than focusing on active attractions, this is a place where you can enjoy a sense of luxury and relaxation.
You can experience indoor and outdoor hot springs, along with jjimjilbang-style sauna facilities.
We recommend using this facility while staying at the hotel.
It is located near Incheon International Airport, and a free shuttle bus operates between the airport and the resort.
Since prices tend to be high, it’s a good idea to check discount vouchers in advance or consider booking a hotel package.

● Onyang Hot Spring Land (A Paradise for Children Under 10)
This place truly feels like paradise for children under the age of 10.
It is an indoor facility located in the Onyang area, which is famous in Korea for its hot springs.

Both floors are entirely dedicated to facilities designed specifically for children.
If you’re traveling as a family with kids, we highly recommend this place.
The price per person is very reasonable at KRW 20,000.
Unlike other places, this facility is made up exclusively of children-focused areas, and tables are provided free of charge.
One of the highlights here is the sauna facilities.
The quality of the hot spring water is excellent.
From Seoul Station, it takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to get here.

● Splas Resom (Integrated Hot Spring Water Park)
This is an integrated Korean hot spring water park that is enjoyable for everyone, from young children to seniors.
One of the biggest advantages is accessibility. A direct bus operates from Seoul Subway Line 3, Express Bus Terminal, straight to this location.

There is a good balance of activities as well as dedicated healing and relaxation areas.
One characteristic of Korean hot spring water parks is that swimwear and a swim cap are required.
Rules vary by location, and at this park, aqua shoes are mandatory.
In addition, most facilities require wearing a life jacket, which must be rented at the rental desk.
Although the number of water slides is not large, they are quite fun.

We stayed in the G40 room type, and using a water park package offers better value.
As a premium resort, the facilities are very clean and well maintained.

● Forest Resom (Forest Healing Korean Hot Spring Water Park)
This is a Korean hot spring water park that feels as if it is nestled deep in the forest.
Rather than focusing on activities, this place is more about healing and relaxation.
The infinity pool is beautiful, and the facilities feel luxurious.
Especially when used as part of a resort package, it can be enjoyed at a more reasonable price.
The water park itself is on the higher end in terms of pricing.
Indoors, there are various hydrotherapy bath pools available.
Getting here by public transportation without a car from Seoul can be a bit inconvenient, but it is still a place worth visiting.
I recommend staying for one night rather than visiting as a day trip.

● Danyang Ocean Play (A Region Rich in Tourist Attractions)
If we were to introduce this place only as a hot spring water park, it might not feel very appealing to international travelers.
However, the surrounding area is one of Korea’s well-known tourist regions.
Because of this, it’s a great place to enjoy hot springs and a resort stay while also exploring nearby attractions.
For international visitors, we also recommend using this place as part of a resort package.
Getting here from Seoul is not easy, so a day trip is not recommended.
The facility operates using natural hot spring water.
There is one slide for children under 120 cm and one two-person slide for general use.
Except during the peak summer season, only indoor facilities are in operation.

This is a hot spring water park located in an area that’s ideal for sightseeing while staying at a resort.
However, public transportation can be somewhat inconvenient.
Unfortunately, we were not able to find discount links on international websites.
This is a discount purchase link from a Korean platform.
After booking, the discount ticket is sent via SMS, not through KakaoTalk.
Alternatively, purchasing a resort package can be a more cost-effective way to enjoy the hot spring water park.

● Seorak Waterpia (A Place Where You Can Enjoy Mountains, the Sea, and Korean Hot Spring)
There are various outdoor open-air baths, and the water quality is excellent.
Outdoor activity facilities are well equipped, and there are hot spring baths with a variety of themes.
This is a place where you can enjoy fun, healing, and relaxation all at once, making it suitable for everyone—from young children to seniors.
There is a wave pool filled with hot spring water, as well as a children’s playground.
We recommend using the night spa and then moving directly to the nearby resort afterward.
Purchasing a resort and hot spring package is recommended.
This area allows you to enjoy hot springs while also taking in views of both the mountains and the sea.
If combined with sightseeing in Sokcho, it makes for a very well-rounded trip.
