●Approximate location (Traveling with Kids in Korea)
It is located in the west of Seoul,
It is very close to Gimpo Airport Station on Airport Railroad.
This is what it looks like when you step outside after about 10 minutes of traveling on the inside path of the subway.
Go outside and take the left path in the photo
(walk on right after exiting)
Follow the natural path to the right
Very, very close indeed.
A 3-minute walk will take you to the place in the photo.
The big building on the left is the place we will visit today!!!
It took me about 10 minutes on the inside path of the subway,
It took about 10 minutes from the outside
I got there in 20 minutes.
●When driving yourself (Traveling with Kids in Korea)
If it’s a weekday, it’s a little more convenient to drive there.
Very clean, stroller-friendly.
●National Aviation Museum (Traveling with Kids in Korea)
All venues are stroller-friendly.
Clean, with elevators.
Here’s a quick explanation
On the first floor, there is a stroller rental service, a nursing room souvenir shop, and various exhibits.
On the second floor, there are hands-on experiences and Aviation exhibits.
The third floor has an aviation library, picnic area, and children’s activities.
On the 4th floor is the Gimpo Airport Observation Deck.
The B1 is a parking lot~.
●Introduction to the first floor
Luggage storage available
Has a very luxurious lactation room
Stroller rentals available
Airplane-related memorabilia available for purchase
I have a very small airplane.
and Loah was on board. Hahaha.
Korea’s first airplane on display
It’s like a really good museum for someone who’s really into airplanes.
This is the inside of a real Korean Air cut.
Loah and her mom talking front of the plane.
In a moment, we’re going to go up to the second floor and experience the Black Eagle airplane in the photo~.
These ramps make it easy to maneuver strollers.
Or elevator available OK!
Now go to the second floor.
●Introduction to the second floor
There’s a lot to experience here
We’re going to do the Black Eagles fighter jet experience.
You have to be at least 4.26ft tall. (130cm)
9-year-old Yunwoo can do it~~.
Mommy and Yunwoo will board the plane
and Dad will take pictures while protecting Loah.
- Adult 3,000 won
- Child 2,000 won
- Usage time: 3 minutes
- Kiosk ordering staff available
- Caution – Many turns may make you dizzy
It’s actually about 3 minutes of prep and 3 minutes of ride.
I’m right next to you, experiencing air traffic control.
But you have to be 12 years old to do this.
Both Loah and Yunwoo were too young to do it.
Looks like very real and amazing experience.
- 80-minute experience
- Adult: KRW 5,000 won
- Children 3,000 won
There is in-flight training nearby.
But you have to be 8 years old to do this.
Yunwoo can be OK,
but the whole experience took 90 minutes, so I gave up.
It seems like a really realistic and amazing experience.
- 90-minute experience
- Adult: 3,000 won
- Children 2,000 won
There’s a space nearby that looks like a real airport.
You can have an airport experience~!
We’re going to go to the third floor now.
●Introduction to the third floor
The airplane in the picture is the taxi of the future.
Loah is having a lot of fun. (Traveling with Kids in Korea)
They have a really cool aviation library.
There were a lot of books about airplanes,
and comic books for little kids so they wouldn’t get bored.
There’s a picnic area, so people who bring their own lunch can eat there.
There was also a convenience store right next door.
- Air Sports – Height 140cm or more Available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 40 minutes 5,000 won
- Children’s Airport – born to 2017 ~ 2019 only 50 minutes 2,000 won
Unfortunately, the day we visited was a Wednesday,
And
Yunwoo is older, and Loah is too young.
Loah born to 2022, hahaha.
I’ll have to come back when Loah is a little older~.
Now let’s go to the fourth floor.
●Introduction to the fourth floor
There’s nothing to do on the 4th floor except watch Gimpo Airport.
It’s hard to take a stroller to the observation deck.
*Stroller was the only here that couldn’t go.
But I did get to see some nice scenery,
it was refreshing.
